The Leap of Faith

A person told me not so long ago that I was standing on the ledge of a metaphorical window, and that I was under the impression that it was very high up. That person told me that in fact, the window was not high at all, and that I should step back off the ledge and I would find the ground a safe distance below me.

That person was wrong.

The ground was even further below than I had initially thought. The fall was long and terrifying, and when I finally saw the ground it was far from where I wanted to be.

  1. You can't see how close the ground really was until you've gone far enough away to have a proper perspective of the situation.

  2. But is ground below rock-hard or will it bounce you back up 'Matrix' style?

  3. Why did you leave Jelsoft? Not gonna be the same with you.

  4. Tried to leave a comment a couple of days ago, but it looks like it didn't come through. Anyway, best of luck with all your future endeavours.

  5. Greetings from Buffalo, NY.. I just wanted to say that I've had a license for the product your former company made for -many- years, and your insights and posts back in the day were the reason why I took that small leap of faith on the product, and purchased it. I certainly appreciate your efforts and work over the years, and wish you all the luck with any future big things you decide to do next..
